Personvagnar - SRJ

Passenger cars registered by SRJ or SJ

Stockholm–Rimbo Järnväg numbered originally its passengers cars in order from number 1 and its goods waggons from number 50. It went well until SRJ was to buy its fifiteth passenger car, which instead was numberd 500. New and cars aqiered in railway mergers were numbered in the 500 series. 1920 SRJ renumbered its goods waggons so number 50 and upwards could be used for passenger cars. The 500 cars were renumbered, if they remained. Later delivered cars were numbered in order to 129, except the cars of 1954 which were given vacant numbers. Some renumbering were done, especially in the 1950s. These renumberings, and the cars of 1954, is shown with a different colour in the table below. Finally there were seven cars ordered by SRJ but delivered after SJ had taken over. Consequently they didn’t recieve any SRJ number. The cars of 1961, 1956 and one car of 1954 were rebuilt to control cars (class Ubp) during 1980s. See the remarks for details.
